A closed joint-stock company "Arginta" with Lithuanian capital was established in 1991. During almost 20 years promising ideas turned into a large leader of the market and a very profitable company. The company's territory has also been expanded: until 2007 "Arginta" possessed 1 500 m2 of premises, in 2007 additional 4 500 m2 were added and in 2010 a new workshop of 2 500 m2 was built. During the rapid growth of the company its activities have also changed: from 1991 "Arginta" has worked in the field of metal processing, in 1995 the company started water improvement and wastewater management activities and in 2009 one more additional field - renewable energy - was added to its activities. Today metal processing, water management and renewable energy are equivalent fields of "Arginta" activity.

For optimization of production processes UAB "Arginta" follows the philosophy of advanced production (LEAN Manufacturing) and TOC management philosophy (Theory of Constraints). LEAN principle of efficiency enhancement helps to find the company's weak links, to increase work efficiency and to reduce production expenses. The principle of Theory of Constraints (TOC) enables a new approach towards project management: using the same resources and efforts "Arginta" achieves much better results in project management.

UAB "Arginta" is a member of three established Lithuanian associations: Lithuanian Welders Association, Engineering Industries Association of Lithuania and Lithuanian Water Suppliers Association. This reliable membership ensures quality of the company's services.

• In 2002 - quality management system standard LST EN ISO 9001: 2001;

• In 2004 - environmental protection management system standard LST EN ISO 14001: 2005;

• In 2008 - metal fusion welding quality management system standard LST EN ISO 3834-3;

• In 2009 - metal fusion welding quality management system standard LST EN ISO 3834-2;

• In 2010 - railway rolling-stock and component welding quality standard ISO 15085;

• In 2010-2011 it is planned to introduce safety and health at work standard OHSAS 1800.

Personnel

Recently more than 100 highly qualified designers, managers and permanently paid employees with average age up to 40 work for UAB "Arginta". It seems as though along with the company's expansion the number of its employees had to increase, but "Arginta" chose a different path of professional development.

The company focuses on cooperation with institutions of vocational training and education. Moreover, it induces creation of innovations, applies knowledge management methods and a principle of team work, based on personal skills and experience of the employee. All company's welders are periodically certified at the educational institutions of the third parties. "Arginta" constantly executes training, which aims for education of its employees, providing them with the knowledge of production management systems etc.

A successfully chosen path of "Arginta" produced great results - one person's work efficiency increased twice during the last two years. The level of the employees' qualification is proved by personal certificates and other evaluation documents.

Partners

More than 99 percent of metal processing sector production is exported abroad. UAB "Arginta" cooperates with nearly all the European Union countries and can directly deliver its production to the final user at any part of the world. The main customers of "Arginta" are internationally known metal corporations. The company also cooperates with the companies of Lithuanian machine industry and construction.

Wastewater management and water improvement activities are executed by UAB "Arginta" in Lithuania. Large water management projects mostly are implemented with the European Union funding.

Besides metal processing and water management services UAB "Arginta" is ready to offer high quality renewable energy services to individual and industrial clients.

Social projects

UAB "Arginta" participates in various non-profit-making projects: it has close relations with Užupis Republic, supports motorists' club "Artas racing", established by young sport enthusiasts, cooperates with Verkių township etc.

The sculpture "Resurrection Angel", which has become a symbol of Užupis, is one the projects, implemented by "Arginta".

Future vision

In modern-day conditions of rapid science and technology progress it is necessary to constantly renovate in order to maintain a high level of competitiveness.
